The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has appointed Fabio Tambosi as its new senior vice president of marketing. In this capacity, Tambosi joins the organization’s commercial leadership team with responsibility for overseeing all global marketing initiatives. This strategic hire follows his tenure as the senior vice president of global marketing at the Berlin-based sports media company OneFootball.
Tambosi brings over two decades of professional experience to the role, having held various marketing and public relations positions at major global brands, including Adidas, Nike, Nokia, and IBM, since beginning his career in 2003. His appointment is part of the ongoing organizational development of EFG, an international tournament operator that functions under the umbrella of the Savvy Gaming Group.
EFG is backed by the Saudi Government’s Public Investment Fund, which has aggressively invested in the global gaming, sports, and entertainment sectors. The company’s recent growth includes the acquisition of the U.S.-based esports entity Vindex, which encompasses the production firm Esports Engine. This leadership transition highlights EFG’s continued focus on strengthening its commercial operations and global market presence within the competitive esports landscape.
