the Korean market just in 2012 went through the roof didn't I mean it grew growth was really fast what were the main reasons for that the first reason was the uh the Google Play Market I think drove the market uh because Android is much more uh pervasive and much more popular in Korea so the Google Play revenue and the the distribution was uh off the top and also there's interesting platform business happening in Korea called Kaka talk it's a what is that what's kak kak is a messenger actually it started as a messenger Pro uh uh application and they turn turn them into a a platform business so you can reach out to your real friends through Kaka talk messenger platform so how if you said it's like a mobile Facebook is that kind of bit more than that maybe it's it's similar but but uh the kak talk using kak Talk featur such as as your invitation and gifting it makes it very powerful to to reach your viral friends so that drove lot of revenues and lot of uh uh downloads last year Al we just been discussing I'm

Com2uS established itself as a mobile-first developer with a fifteen-year history, achieving significant growth in 2012 by transitioning its business model from paid applications to a free-to-play strategy. This pivot was anchored by the success of the social title Tiny Farm, which served as a primary driver for the company’s revenue and valuation. The shift toward free-to-play mechanics allowed the publisher to capitalize on evolving consumer behaviors and monetization trends within the mobile gaming sector.
The rapid expansion of the Korean mobile market during 2012 was largely facilitated by the widespread adoption of Android devices, which bolstered Google Play distribution and revenue. A critical factor in this growth was the emergence of KakaoTalk, a mobile messaging service that evolved into a robust gaming platform. By integrating social features such as friend invitations and gifting, KakaoTalk enabled developers to achieve high levels of virality and user engagement, effectively functioning as a powerful social network for mobile gaming.
Following the success of titles like Home Run Battle Burst, the company is shifting its strategic focus toward the hardcore gaming segment. Future development efforts are centered on high-fidelity experiences, specifically the launch of Golf Star, which is positioned as a pioneering mobile MMO golf game for iOS and Android. This transition reflects a broader industry trend of moving beyond casual social games toward more complex, immersive titles designed to capture the attention of dedicated mobile gamers.
