German Developer Award 2023: Hamburg Represented with 4 Games

The German Developer Award 2023, a prominent industry event honoring excellence in video game development across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, recognized four Hamburg-based titles among its nominees. This acknowledgment highlights the regional creative output of the Hamburg games sector, showcasing the city's contribution to the broader German-speaking gaming landscape.

The nominated titles include Signalis by rose-engine, which received nominations for Best Indie Game, Best Graphics, and Best Story; Everspace 2 by Rockfish Games, recognized for Best Game Design and Best Technical Achievement; and Marble Maze by Fox-Assembly, which earned a nomination for the Innovation Award. Additionally, Misgiven by Symmetry Break Studio—a graduate of the local Games Lift incubator program—was shortlisted for the Ubisoft Newcomer Award.

The German Developer Award, organized by games.nrw e.V. since 2022 and supported by various state and industry stakeholders, serves as a significant platform for peer-reviewed recognition within the industry.
