The 2026 GDC Festival of Gaming, scheduled for March 9–13, 2026, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, features the return of GDC Pitch. This event serves as a professional development platform designed to refine the pitching capabilities of independent game studios. By providing a stage for developers to present their projects to industry veterans, the program facilitates direct engagement with potential publishers and investors.
The event is structured over two days, with each session tailored to specific financial audiences. The first day focuses on connecting developers with publishers, while the second day targets venture capital firms and investment groups. Participants receive real-time feedback from a panel of judges, including representatives from organizations such as New Tales, Finji, Media Indie Exchange, Behold Ventures, Makers Fund, and Griffin Gaming Partners. The initiative also includes a competitive element, where one studio per day is recognized with a Best Pitch award and receives complimentary passes for the following year’s festival.
Ten studios are slated to participate in the 2026 showcase. Day one features Coven, CYBRLICH Studios, Fortress Games, Red Mountain Games, and Twenty Ninety Creative. Day two highlights Creadev Technologies, P3CO, Simply Sweet Games, Story Tools, and Totally Human Media. Hosted by funding advisor Jason Della Rocca, the event emphasizes the importance of expert mentorship and strategic networking within the global game development ecosystem.
