Singapore-based developer Foonie Magus has collaborated with Talon Esports and United Esports to host an invite-only tournament for its web3-based MOBA game, Apeiron.
Foonie Magus, a Singapore-based game developer, has partnered with Hong Kong-based Talon Esports and Los Angeles-based United Esports to promote the web3-based multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Apeiron. This collaboration aims to showcase the title’s player-versus-player gameplay through an invite-only tournament featuring notable participants from both the Web2 and Web3 gaming sectors.
The tournament is structured into two regional conferences: the Western Conference for the Americas, scheduled for April 4–6, and the Eastern Conference for Asia, taking place April 11–13. The competition utilizes a double-elimination bracket format with a total prize pool of $30,000 USD, offering individual rewards ranging from $750 to $5,000. Matches will be broadcast via the official Apeiron Discord server.
The event highlights a strategic effort to bridge traditional gaming audiences with the web3 ecosystem. Participants include established professional players and content creators, such as League of Legends pro Tsai "GreenTea" Shang-Ching and various prominent streamers. While the financial terms of the partnership between the developer and the esports organizations remain undisclosed, the tournament serves as a continuation of a broader promotional agreement established in early 2024.
