The French Tennis Federation has finalized the eight competitors for the Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2024. The tournament will take place in Paris on May 25.
The French Tennis Federation has announced the eight finalists for the 2024 Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault, a mobile esports tournament featuring the game Tennis Clash. The finalists, representing a diverse range of nations including the United Kingdom, France, the United States, China, Italy, Quebec, and Turkey, were selected following an extensive open qualification phase. This preliminary stage saw significant global engagement, with over 500,000 players across 215 territories participating in more than 7.3 million matches.
The tournament’s final phase is scheduled for May 25, 2024, and will be held at the Roland-Garros auditorium in Paris. The event is supported by official partners Mastercard and Renault. To enhance the broadcast experience, the competition will be streamed on the Twitch channel of French host Samuel Étienne and will feature various guest appearances and a musical performance.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the event incorporates a charitable component. The French Tennis Federation has committed to donating €15 (approximately $16 USD) to the organization Handigamers for every point scored during the 31 matches of the final phase. This initiative highlights the intersection of professional sports organizations, mobile gaming, and corporate social responsibility within the modern esports landscape.
