Proctor, previously CEO of Allied Esports International, brings extensive experience in venue development and strategic growth to his new role.
Glytch, an Irvine-based esports and entertainment venue company, has appointed Rob Proctor as its new Chief Revenue Officer. Proctor, the former CEO of Allied Esports International, brings extensive experience in venue development and strategic growth to his new role. His primary objective is to oversee the company’s ambitious expansion plan, which involves the construction of 32 esports stadiums and entertainment destinations across the United States and Canada over the next seven years.
Beyond venue development, Proctor is tasked with leading the company’s vision for the creation and distribution of original content tailored to a global gaming audience. The proposed facilities are designed to serve as multifunctional hubs, hosting professional esports competitions, concerts, comedy shows, and community events. Each location will also integrate location-based gaming, virtual reality experiences, and food and beverage services, while functioning as a broadcast center for content production.
The company has secured financial backing through a seed funding round and a Series A round led by Benevolent Capital, with notable early investors including Joe Montana and Kevin Lin. Furthermore, Glytch has established strategic partnerships with industry entities such as Legends, Populous, and Scenario to support its infrastructure and operational goals. This leadership change marks a significant step in the company’s efforts to scale its footprint within the North American esports landscape.
