This figure marks a 44% increase over October's revenue. It also surpassed the game's previous peak in August by 26%.
PUBG Mobile achieved a significant financial milestone in November 2018, reaching a record-breaking $32.5 million in worldwide player spending. This performance represented a 44 percent increase over the previous month and surpassed the game’s former peak of $25.7 million recorded in August 2018. The surge in revenue was bolstered by strong performance during the Thanksgiving holiday week, resulting in an average daily spend of approximately $1.1 million throughout the month.
The United States emerged as the leading market for the title, contributing $7.1 million, or 22 percent of total revenue, while Japan followed closely with $6.4 million, accounting for nearly 20 percent. These figures contribute to a broader historical context for the game, which has accumulated approximately $158 million in total lifetime revenue and nearly 270 million installs since its launch.
Despite this growth, the battle royale genre remains highly competitive. During the same period, the title trailed behind NetEase’s Knives Out, which generated $52 million in global revenue, largely driven by the Japanese market. These insights are derived from Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data, which tracks mobile application performance across global markets. The findings underscore the rapid monetization trajectory of Tencent’s battle royale offering as it continues to scale its global player base and revenue streams.
