NODWIN Gaming will manage media rights sales and distribution for the Esports World Cup across South Asia.
NODWIN Gaming has entered into a strategic partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to manage media rights sales and distribution across South Asia. The agreement focuses on key regional markets, including India, Bangladesh, and Nepal, with the objective of expanding the reach of the multi-week, multi-title Esports World Cup held annually in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition to media rights, NODWIN Gaming will serve as the EWCF’s marketing partner in India, tasked with executing localized campaigns to engage regional gaming communities.
The Esports World Cup is a significant global event featuring over $70 million in prize money. It is operated by the EWCF, a non-profit organization funded by the Saudi Arabian government’s Public Investment Fund, with operational support from the ESL FACEIT Group. While the partnership aims to bridge the gap between South Asian audiences and the global tournament, the event itself has faced scrutiny from international human rights organizations regarding the Saudi government’s broader record on human and civil rights.
This collaboration aligns NODWIN Gaming with a growing roster of international corporate partners supporting the tournament, such as Lenovo, Pepsi, and Aramco. By leveraging NODWIN Gaming’s regional expertise, the EWCF intends to increase the accessibility of its content and foster deeper connections within the South Asian esports ecosystem. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
