Neurodactics Releases Math Learning App Mambio

Neurodactics GmbH has officially released Mambio, a specialized math learning application designed for children aged five and older. The primary objective of the software is to foster early mathematical comprehension and mental arithmetic skills through a playful, interactive interface. By combining traditional pedagogical methods with modern research, the application aims to mitigate math-related anxiety, a condition that contributes to learning difficulties in approximately one-quarter of children.

The development of Mambio was supported by significant financial backing, including 39,273 euros in prototype funding from Gamecity Hamburg and 1,172,360 euros provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). This investment facilitated the creation of a platform that emphasizes accessibility and inclusion, allowing children with and without learning disabilities to engage with the content independently.

The application utilizes a language-based structure and intuitive mechanics to enable self-directed learning for preschoolers and elementary students. By providing individually tailored learning units, the developers seek to bolster user self-confidence and provide a supportive educational environment. The project represents a targeted effort within the Hamburg-based game development sector to apply interactive technology toward solving specific educational challenges.
