Level Infinite, a division of Tencent, has announced a $15 million investment to expand the global Honor of Kings esports ecosystem throughout 2025. This initiative aims to formalize and scale the game’s competitive landscape by introducing six new regional leagues: the Philippines Kings League, Malaysia Kings League, Indonesia Kings Laga, Wildcard Kings League, Major East League, and Major West League. These additions will complement the existing King Pro League in China and the Honor of Kings Brazil Championship.
The 2025 roadmap emphasizes a multi-tiered approach to competition, ranging from grassroots engagement to professional global tournaments. Two major international events are scheduled for the year: the Honor of Kings World Cup, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in July, and the Honor of Kings International Championship in November. These events serve as the pinnacle of the professional circuit, designed to showcase the game's global growth.
Grassroots development remains a core component of the strategy, with the Honor of Kings Open Series providing an accessible, rank-free entry point for amateur players. The company reported significant participation in this series, citing over 150,000 sign-ups for its third split. Furthermore, the Honor of Kings Campus Series continues to support collegiate esports across 92 countries and regions, backed by a $100,000 global prize pool. By integrating professional leagues with broad-based amateur and collegiate opportunities, the strategy seeks to establish a sustainable, inclusive, and globally recognized competitive structure for the title.
