Create free accounthello and welcome to pocketgamer.biz YouTube channel I'm John Jordan so we're looking at today uh as we have been for a while um EA mobiles um Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes one particular thing we're looking at today and it's something we not covered at all in our videos before so this is selling item so we can see this is the the main menu screen um and if you see on the left hand side below characters there's the option sell items so I've never sold an item in the game um but uh this is kind of we're going to look look at it um so this is the menu screen um for for selling items you can see we can toggle through different things here materials gears and more think um we can also toggle through the sale price um so we talking through this is this is the most expensive um the rarest sale price quantity you get the idea with that so what's
interesting here is um you see these items here so the moment we're um looking at all the items we we've got um and most of these gear items you use if you quickly go back to the character settings so these are generally used um in the character so this is a very lowle character that I've I'm not really using and we have this um bit in the middle here where it's GE the gear um upgrade system so so we have a this Mark 1 L on our power cell so so I've got I can equip one equip it there it goes this one okay one of those so we go through here and we can equip all this oh that and then we can upgrade um the gear setting and then we go in and going to so you get the idea what's going on with that so um let's go back so so these these this is what we're kind of looking going to sell so I've got um um you know a lot of the this kind of gear I've playing this game fairly
consistently for about for about a month or so since it came out um but you can see this kind of slightly crazy situation here with with these funny little star Droid things so so these are the standard these ones here um the standard training droids so if we go back into go back into characters you use the standard training droids to train things so if I go here I've only got two I can assign them I spend some soft currency and my character will upgrade okay so far so good it's kind of obvious um RPG type element um but there's these other ones that um I've been collecting these mining droids had no idea what I was why I was collecting them I'm just kind of playing um the kind of the mission structure where you kind of collect them and I just suddenly realized I'm collecting all these things and I've never think actually used them so this is I don't know what this is me being particularly stupid probably um equally I don't know
the game being particularly um kind of not helpful in terms of of telling me about all this stuff um but never sold any of these and actually you can't use these these Droids in any other way um that's selling them so um when it comes to other materials to me I never think it's worth selling them um because you never know when you're going to need them really and obviously as you play more you play longer in the game you get more and more characters so you can see here I've got kind of my main characters kind of this this first level of um actually probably the first kind of 16 but first 12 I use then I've got these characters down here which I don't really not using at all at the moment and then these ones that I can as I play more I unlock so you never really know with with materials um not Material sorry with gear when you're going to need them so there's no point selling those but with materials go back in um these one the ones on the bottom these kind of um ones with the Stars they used also for for um
crafting stuff so I wouldn't really want to sell those but these guys you're supposed to sell them so this has been kind of one way underline one of my kind of issues with this game is that um at the moment I I've just leveled up so I've actually got quite a lot of soft currency so you can see in the top right hand corner I've got 2,000 247,000 um credits and credits are used mainly um when you're leveling up characters um so what we showed you before the training aspect of the game and I've always struggled to have have enough um currency the soft currency so if you don't have enough soft currency what you have to do is um we go we use sorry use you can go into the data cards um and and then here and you can see these credit packs so you can spend 85 hard currency units for 62,500 credits which always seem to be a bad kind of return because you should never hard you should really hang on to that's much more
useful you really use you use the hard currency um here to buy um characters and shards and use the shards to unlock characters you haven't got so that's kind of pretty important to the game and I was really kind of why is it so weird that normally soft currency is the thing you get most of in a game because for the developer doesn't really care don't really care about it in this game you can't even buy soft currency but I was always kind of running out of soft currency and now I know the reason I was running out soft currency because basically I should have been selling all these so this is like a a really obvious tip if you're running out soft currency in this game yeah I'm going to get almost you know over 900,000 soft currency I'm going to have over a million soft currency now that's going to keep me going for a long time there we go so 1.1 million sof that before you know I was kind of struggling about the 100,000 Mar really um and that was actually kind of um being a a bottleneck to my game um just doing some other stuff here um so yeah if you this is just kind of like a tip if you're running out soft currency have you been selling your um those those
those mining droids mining droids all about soft currency so don't be using your hard currency to get soft currency um you want to be uh yeah you got to be playing the game playing the squad arena games playing the events challenges um so if we go in here this is this see so where you get them so you can see um this is you play these different events and the possible rewards are mining droids a war so credit when sold so that's the uh that's the clue okay so um that's our video today um just a little kind of kind of tip there on the soft currency and the selling um don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel so uh we cover a lot of freetop playay mobile games we do analysis on them we're particularly doing a lot on the uh on Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes game um because it's pretty interesting very kind of well put together even if I'm too stupid to kind of get all the nuances um so don't forget to subscribe and then you won't miss a thing hope to
see you soon
Managing soft currency, or credits, is a critical bottleneck for progression in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, particularly for players leveling up multiple characters. While the game provides various avenues for earning currency, many players inadvertently struggle with shortages because they fail to utilize the inventory management system to liquidate specific assets. The primary solution for addressing these credit deficits is the sale of Mining Droids, which are acquired through Cantina Battles and various event challenges.
Unlike gear items, which are essential for character upgrades and should be retained for future use, Mining Droids serve no functional purpose other than to be sold for credits. Players often accumulate large quantities of these droids without realizing their intended use, leading to unnecessary financial constraints. By navigating to the sell items menu, players can convert these accumulated droids into significant amounts of soft currency, often increasing their balance by nearly a million credits in a single transaction.
Relying on hard currency to purchase credit packs is an inefficient strategy that should be avoided, as hard currency is better reserved for acquiring character shards and unlocking new units. Instead, players should focus on consistent participation in squad arenas, events, and challenges to naturally accrue Mining Droids. This approach ensures a sustainable supply of soft currency without sacrificing premium resources. Ultimately, the game’s economy rewards players who actively manage their inventory and recognize that specific items are designed exclusively for liquidation rather than gameplay utility.
