The March 2026 unit sales overview highlights the continued market dominance of South African-developed video games across major gaming platforms. Utilizing data estimates provided by Video Game Insights, the analysis tracks performance across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox to evaluate the commercial reach of African-made titles.
On a multi-platform basis, Broforce led the market with over 10,000 units sold, followed closely by Relooted and Viscera Cleanup Detail. Stick It to the Stickman and Anger Foot also demonstrated strong commercial viability, each exceeding 8,000 units. These figures underscore a robust performance for South African studios, though the data reveals significant variance in platform-specific success.
The Steam-specific performance metrics present a distinct landscape, where Stick It to the Stickman emerged as the top performer with approximately 8,200 units sold. Anger Foot followed with 6,000 units, while Broforce ranked third on the platform with 4,100 units. The disparity between Broforce’s first-place multi-platform ranking and its third-place Steam ranking suggests that a substantial portion of its total sales volume is derived from console platforms, whereas other titles like Stick It to the Stickman maintain a more concentrated presence on PC. The lower tier of the Steam chart included titles such as Genital Jousting, GORN 2, and STASIS: BONE TOTEM, which maintained steady sales between 800 and 1,500 units.
