These collaborations aim to enhance competitive infrastructure and fan engagement.
Alpine Esports, the Renault-backed sim racing organization, announced a series of strategic partnerships and personnel updates for the 2023 season. The organization’s primary objective is to bolster its competitive infrastructure and fan engagement capabilities through new technological collaborations and a refreshed roster of drivers and ambassadors.
The organization secured partnerships with several technology and gaming entities to enhance its new Alpine Esports Content Room, located within its F1 factory. Varjo will serve as the official VR partner, providing mixed reality headsets, while Tobii will supply eye-tracking technology for performance analytics. Additionally, The Tiny Digital Factory has been named the official mobile racing game partner, and QANplatform has joined as the official blockchain partner to drive fan engagement. Alpine also established a charitable partnership with the UK-based organization Special Effect to promote accessible gaming for individuals with physical disabilities.
The 2023 driver lineup for the F1 Esports Series features Collin Spork, Patrik Sipos, Rubén Pedreño, Luke Smith, and Tom Lartilleux. These competitors will be supported by content creators PattyPatt, AnaonAir, and Thomb, who will serve as official team ambassadors. Furthermore, the organization confirmed the return of the Alpine Esports Championship Series, scheduled for May and powered by Binance. While these developments represent a significant expansion of the organization's operational ecosystem, the specific financial terms of these agreements remain undisclosed.
