Drive Capital led the latest investment round for the cloud-focused content creation platform. This brings the company's total funding to $18 million since its founding.
Allstar.gg, a New York-based cloud-focused content creation platform, successfully secured $12 million in a Series A funding round led by the venture capital firm Drive Capital. This latest investment brings the company’s total funding to $18 million since its inception in 2019. The capital infusion is intended to accelerate product development, expand the adoption of its proprietary technology, and facilitate new partnerships across additional game titles and developer ecosystems.
The platform specializes in utilizing server-side game data to generate and customize video clips in the cloud. By offering features such as music synchronization, advanced 3D filters, and customizable in-game assets, the service streamlines the editing process for users. Currently, the platform supports major titles including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Fortnite, with plans to integrate Rocket League and PUBG: Battlegrounds in 2024.
The company has demonstrated significant market traction, reporting a user base of 11.3 million and facilitating over a quarter-billion views through its shared gameplay clips. Allstar.gg’s investor portfolio includes notable figures and entities such as Mark Cuban, Overwolf, and various industry veterans from Twitch, Zynga, and Blizzard. Founded by former professional gamer Nick Cuomo and chief technology officer Gavin Silver, the company continues to focus on scaling its cloud-based infrastructure to meet the growing demand for rapid, high-quality content creation in the esports sector.
