Activision Blizzard has announced the return of its global competitive circuit for Call of Duty: Warzone.
Activision Blizzard has announced the 2023 return of the World Series of Warzone, a global competitive circuit for the Call of Duty: Warzone franchise. The tournament features a total prize pool of $1.2 million USD, underscoring the publisher's continued investment in the title's professional ecosystem.
The competition structure centers on three-player teams, or trios, beginning with regional qualifiers in North America and Europe. Following initial GameBattles sign-ups in late April, the top 50 trios in each region advance to qualifiers in early May, culminating in regional finals that offer $150,000 in prize money per region. A subsequent last-chance qualifier in July will lead to an in-person global final in September, which includes a $500,000 prize pool and a dedicated $100,000 solo event.
While the initial phase focuses on North America and Europe, the tournament scope extends globally to include LATAM, APAC, and MEA regions. These areas are slated to participate through a series of regional qualifiers—covering territories such as Brazil, Mexico, Asia, and ANZ—to secure spots in the global final. This expansion reflects a broader effort to integrate diverse international markets into the competitive Warzone landscape.
