Key Alliance. Ubisoft and BLAST have formed a multi-year partnership for Rainbow Six Siege esports.
Ubisoft has entered into a multi-year partnership with tournament organizer BLAST to overhaul the global esports circuit for Rainbow Six Siege. Commencing in March 2023, this collaboration aims to restructure the competitive landscape by introducing a redesigned global circuit that emphasizes high-stakes international competition and provides clearer pathways for emerging talent to reach professional levels.
The scope of this initiative is global, encompassing nine distinct regions: Europe, North America, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Hispanic Latin America, Asia, Oceania, and the MENA region. By integrating BLAST’s operational expertise, the partnership seeks to standardize and elevate the production quality and competitive integrity of regional programs and international events.
While specific financial details regarding the 2023 season’s total prize pool remain undisclosed, the transition includes the implementation of a new point system designed to refine the qualification process for international tournaments. Furthermore, the existing R6 SHARE program, which facilitates revenue sharing between Ubisoft and participating esports organizations, will continue to operate, ensuring ongoing financial support for the professional teams involved in the circuit. This strategic realignment reflects a broader effort to professionalize the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem and foster long-term sustainability for both organizers and competing organizations.
