These exits followed the resignation of Chief Strategy Officer Kai Henry and the May 2022 departure of CFO Amit Bajaj.
Between July and October 2022, FaZe Clan experienced the quiet departure of three key marketing executives. These exits occurred without formal public announcements, consistent with standard corporate practice for non-executive leadership roles. The personnel changes reflect a broader trend of executive turnover at the organization, which also saw the resignation of its chief strategy officer and the earlier departure of its chief financial officer in May 2022.
The departing marketing staff included Xavier Ramos, the senior vice president and head of marketing, who left in September to join Interscope Records as executive vice president of pop and rock marketing. Derek Chestnut, the vice president of consumer products, departed in July to become the head of consumer products at GameSquare, the owner of Complexity Gaming. Bo Wolfe, who served as vice president of consumer products following Chestnut’s exit, also left the company in October to join Interscope Records as a marketing coordinator.
These departures highlight significant movement within the esports and entertainment sectors, as talent shifts between gaming organizations and established music industry firms. The lack of public disclosure regarding these specific exits underscores the distinction between high-profile executive resignations, which often require regulatory filings, and the routine turnover of mid-to-senior level management within publicly traded esports entities.
