The UFCEP is a new representative body for France's leading competitive gaming organizations. It aims to promote the French esports industry globally.
The French Union of Professional Esports Club (UFCEP) has officially launched as a new representative body for the nation’s leading competitive gaming organizations. The association aims to bolster the visibility and credibility of the French esports sector on both local and international stages. By fostering collaboration among top-tier clubs, the union seeks to elevate the global landscape of the industry while advocating for the interests of players, fans, and member organizations.
The founding membership includes prominent organizations such as Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, Team BDS, and Solary, alongside several other established French teams. The organization is governed by a leadership team featuring Team Vitality CEO Nicolas Maurer as president, Karmine Corp CEO Arthur Perticoz as general secretary, and Galions CEO Alexander Job as treasurer. A steering committee, which includes representatives from Team AEGIS, GameWard, and Gentle Mates, will manage the union’s strategic initiatives.
A primary objective of the UFCEP is the development of a streamlined legal framework to support professional players. Key focus areas for this initiative include simplifying visa processing during player transfer periods and implementing measures to combat cyberbullying. To achieve these goals, the union plans to engage directly with governmental bodies, parliamentarians, tournament organizers, and industry publishers. By acting as a unified voice, the association intends to influence policy and institutional decision-making to create a more sustainable and professional environment for the French esports ecosystem.
