Create free accountjust coming back and um you know i'm the ceo of a mobile entertainment corps and our first product is the space tech exactly it's published by so is a space tank here look at that it's really cool and it's published by nixon worldwide and i just uh we just really you know this product just re received 7 000 review in the first week after we launched the game in the korean market and one more thing i need to stress is um you know we got five stars five stars yeah based on nearly 7 thousand rupees so that's doing pretty well so it's just korea and uh korea and china and we're gonna push our game uh online uh uh on october okay this year okay um that's brilliant okay so tell tell me a little bit more so what's the what's the
vision of mobile what's your what's your kind of ultimate plan you're making a 3d or you're making a a very nice looking sort of tank game as a it's an online competitive game it's a lot of complex things going on there tell me a little bit about your your plans yeah our play is to uh create the best innovative game and we you know i believe that design elements should be in every part of our game just like the character you see and the game you play and uh we just wanna to show players uh how funny our game is and you know we that's okay don't we can edit we can cut it together okay yeah it's okay so i could i could get some like some reaction shots go away okay
so yeah what's the kind of vision for the company then what you're doing is quite complicated it's very different from a lot of the casual games that are coming out of china so you've got a different different approach to most chinese studios yes and i can't say we're totally different but we're somehow we're totally different i'll say it's during the world i can express to the tele difference fine you are totally different okay you're unique yeah we're unique yeah we're the unique developers here in china this is because we don't we don't copy other games and then we create our own characters with our own ip and i think it's uh i'll say it's entertain uh it's entertaining ourselves yeah and at the same time entertainment players sure sure so so you're going for innovative game and why why why why online because that's quite difficult yeah the online mode you know the online mode is the
most difficult part for us for our games and i just wanna i don't know whether a few played a game in the battle city yeah during your telephone because the game is made by marco and you and your friend you uh control two little tanks one is the uh yellow one another is green one and you've got a lot of floyd drawings yeah yeah drawing this love choice yeah yeah and for nowadays game we can just play a lot of games on a lot of platforms for example the console games pc games small ball games and it's rare for us to have the same feeling as our childhood so our goal is to bring back the feeling of this sharpness and dryness yeah joy just join yeah destroy okay i just want to bring back the the uh the
destroy and this sharpness yeah after travels after childhood once you have sure back to life exactly so yeah it's a very good ambition very much like nintendo you are the you're the nintendo of the mobile world and they don't do mobile very well we want to be that's good a final question we're here in beijing because we want to learn about the chinese market i know that you publish internationally and your game is is for an international audience not typically chinese but what would you say kind of the key key trends uh of the chinese market or the key lesson for developers from west wanting to come to china is any advice or any trends you know this market is also it's a little bit complicated yeah and uh chinese people will love the good game yeah yeah the group game maybe you are the good game has the definition
worldwide you know uh if you are you have the good game and i i can give you some examples for example the i believe our mobile platform galaxy on fire is the good game cool because it's gorgeous i'm looking again michael schade will love you for that yeah and angry bird is some kind of good guy some kind of good guy because uh you know every time you just fiber to eat a pig yeah you feel you're satisfied yeah yeah and if you have this kind of cook another is business uh i need some water where's my water yeah where's my water that's our good game and if you have good game you can come to uh you have to localize your game yeah to the chinese market yeah then you put your game into uh you just bring a new game into the charter market yeah because you know maybe just not that many people
here can read foreign languages yeah if you just want the chinese player to know your game more deeply and go thoroughly so you just uh you better transform translate your game into chinese okay and uh it's okay for english but not for others i think fine okay so that's my advice so would you work with like a partner out here or do you think this there's a lot of people who are offering to localize is that the best way to do it of course no no no i'll say the the chinese player they are a group of very um some kind of strange players can't say that because i'm chinese you could say you can say that they enjoy to play an interesting game yeah but you have to offer a continuously interesting things or characters to allure them to continue play okay yeah
you've got that meaning yeah yeah yeah totally okay that's fine okay fair enough and final question about chinese market so um i heard a lot at the conference we were at recently about uh android android android being the focus and you know it's all really about android now and ios is important but becoming less important in china at least is that is that fair to say or is that is that unfair to say uh to my personal point of view i think uh the android market is grown bigger and bigger and bigger than ever cool but um you know we got a lot of limitations on ios platforms even though ls can just give a best looking and best user experience but for the 40 characters and the situation here in china i believe
android will share the market cool and android market will be totally different from this before okay fantastic thank you so much for your time and we look around the office it's very it's like a soho loft here this is brilliant okay thank you very much
Mob Arts, a Beijing-based mobile entertainment developer, distinguishes itself within the Chinese gaming landscape by prioritizing original intellectual property and innovative design over the common industry practice of cloning existing titles. The company’s primary objective is to deliver high-quality, competitive online experiences that evoke the nostalgic joy of classic console gaming. By focusing on complex, 3D-rendered mechanics, the studio aims to bridge the gap between traditional console-style engagement and the accessibility of mobile platforms, positioning itself as a unique developer in a market often dominated by casual titles.
The studio’s flagship product, Space Tank, serves as a primary case study for this approach. Following its launch in the Korean market, the game achieved significant success, securing nearly 7,000 five-star reviews within its first week. This performance underscores the studio's commitment to quality and its ability to resonate with international audiences. Looking forward, the company plans to expand its reach with a broader online rollout, maintaining a focus on continuous content updates to sustain player interest.
Regarding the broader Chinese market, the studio emphasizes that success for international developers hinges on high-quality game design and thorough localization. While the Chinese player base is highly engaged, developers must translate content effectively and provide consistent, compelling updates to retain users. Furthermore, the company observes a significant shift in the local ecosystem, noting that while iOS provides a superior user experience, the Android market is expanding rapidly and is poised to become the dominant platform in China. This evolution reflects the complex, growing nature of the region's mobile gaming sector.
