Milk Cup Academy Launches

The Milk Cup Academy has launched as a developmental initiative designed to support women aspiring to professional careers in Fortnite. By providing access to professional mentorship, health and wellness resources, and structured practice environments, the program aims to lower barriers to entry for female competitors in the United States. The initiative is a direct extension of the Milk Cup, an all-women tournament series that recently entered its 2025 season.

The academy facilitates skill development through monthly scrims organized via Discord, which allow participants to find teammates and receive performance feedback from established professional players and content creators. Additionally, the program hosts live question-and-answer sessions featuring industry experts, including esports health specialists, to provide holistic guidance for emerging talent. These efforts are supported by key stakeholders, including the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), tournament organizer Raidiant, and various influencers.

The 2025 Milk Cup season reflects significant growth for the competition, featuring a total prize pool of $300,000, nearly double the amount offered during the inaugural 2024 season. The tournament structure consists of three series, each culminating in a Main Event, followed by a final Fall LAN Championship. Qualification for the Main Events is based on performance in open qualifiers, with the top 50 teams advancing in each series. This expansion underscores a broader industry commitment to fostering grassroots talent and increasing professional opportunities for women within the competitive gaming ecosystem.
