The Turkish mobile gaming sector has emerged as a dominant force in global private investment, securing approximately $396 million in funding between January 2025 and mid-October 2026. This figure represents 39% of all private investment in mobile game studios worldwide during that period, allowing the region to surpass the combined investment totals of the Asia-Pacific and North American markets. While the volume of capital flowing into Turkish studios has reached record levels, the number of individual funding rounds remains lower than in other major regions, indicating a concentration of high-value investments.
A significant driver of this momentum is the recent $46 million funding round for Flow Games, led by Tencent. This investment highlights the ongoing interest from major international players in the Turkish ecosystem, which has been bolstered by a strong history of successful exits, including the high-profile acquisitions of Peak Games and Dream Games. Tencent’s recent activity, which includes multiple investments in Istanbul-based puzzle game developers, underscores the strategic importance of the region’s specialized talent pool.
The analysis relies on proprietary data regarding private funding rounds, ranging from seed to growth stages, while excluding mergers and acquisitions, user acquisition financing, debt issuance, and public listings. The data reflects a shift in the global investment landscape, as Türkiye has overtaken the United States as the leader in private investment volume for mobile studios since 2025. This sustained growth is supported by the sector's robust performance, with Turkish developers generating $2.76 billion in in-app purchase revenue in 2025 alone, accounting for 5% of the global mobile games market.
