The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has entered into a strategic partnership with white.market, a peer-to-peer trading platform for Counter-Strike skins. This collaboration aims to integrate the platform into EFG’s Counter-Strike 2 competitive ecosystem, specifically targeting the European and Latin American markets. While the financial terms and duration of the agreement remain undisclosed, the partnership serves as a functional expansion of a previous 2022 deal between FACEIT and WhiteBIT.
The initiative focuses on enhancing user engagement through the implementation of missions, branded events, and digital drops across the FACEIT platform and the ESL Pro Tour. By positioning itself as a secure alternative to traditional bot-based trading and intermediary services, white.market intends to provide the community with a safer environment for transactions. Participants in these activations will have access to various rewards, including premium subscriptions, cash deposits, and exclusive discounts on the trading platform.
Beyond digital integration, the partnership includes a physical presence for white.market at major live events within the ESL Pro Tour, such as the EPT Championship, Masters, and Challengers series, starting with the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024. This move aligns with EFG’s broader strategy under the ownership of the Savvy Gaming Group, which is backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The collaboration underscores a continued effort to monetize and deepen the connection between competitive tournament play and the secondary market for in-game digital assets.
