This initiative transitions from one-off events to a structured, year-long competitive framework. It features an open-entry online series that feeds into a live championship.
Embark Studios is formalizing the competitive ecosystem for its title, THE FINALS, by launching a $200,000 global circuit for the 2026 season. This initiative marks a transition from one-off event properties to a structured, year-long competitive framework. The season will culminate in a 16-team live championship, The Grand Major 2026, scheduled for November 27–29 at DreamHack Stockholm.
The competitive structure features an open-entry online series hosted on the FACEIT platform, spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. The $200,000 prize pool is divided into $50,000 for the online series and $150,000 for the Stockholm championship. The format consists of four seasonal cycles, where teams of three compete in Swiss stages and broadcasted show days to earn leaderboard points. These points determine qualification for the year-end event, which will utilize a three-day live format featuring a "King-of-the-Hill" style championship round.
This expansion aims to improve accessibility for grassroots players while establishing a clear professional pathway. The move follows a successful debut season that saw participation from over 1,600 teams globally. By partnering with the ESL FACEIT Group and returning to DreamHack Stockholm, Embark Studios is leveraging established infrastructure to solidify the game's presence in the professional esports landscape. Registration for the 2026 season opened in April, with the APAC circuit beginning in late May.
