CD Projekt’s 2023 financial results demonstrate a period of significant growth, marking the company's second-best performance in its history. The organization reported annual revenue of PLN 1.23 billion ($308.4 million), representing a 29% year-over-year increase, with game sales contributing approximately 85% of that total. Net profit rose by 39% to PLN 481.1 million ($120 million), largely bolstered by the successful release of the Phantom Liberty expansion.
The Cyberpunk 2077 franchise served as a primary growth engine, generating PLN 852 million ($213.6 million) in 2023, an 81.5% increase over the previous year. Since its 2020 launch, the franchise has achieved over PLN 3 billion in lifetime revenue, successfully recouping its combined development and marketing investment of more than $400 million. Geographically, North America remains the company’s dominant market, accounting for 71% of total sales, followed by Europe at 18.7%.
Looking toward future development, the company is managing a pipeline of five major projects, including three titles within The Witcher franchise, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and a new original intellectual property. As of early 2024, the development team comprised 627 employees, with the largest portion—403 staff members—dedicated to Project Polaris. Beyond interactive software, the company is actively expanding its brand presence through multimedia initiatives, including a planned live-action project based on the Cyberpunk universe. These results reflect a strategic focus on strengthening core franchises while scaling long-term production capabilities.
