CD PROJEKT Group’s financial results for the third quarter of 2025 demonstrate strong growth, driven by the continued commercial success of the Cyberpunk franchise and strategic licensing agreements. The company reported quarterly sales revenue of nearly 350 million zloty, representing a 53% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Net profit for the quarter reached 193 million zloty, a two-and-a-half-fold increase year-over-year. This performance was bolstered by the inclusion of Cyberpunk 2077 in the PlayStation Plus subscription service and sales of the Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch 2, alongside steady performance of the core product family.
The company maintains a robust financial position, ending September 2025 with 1.4 billion zloty in cash, bank deposits, and bonds. Development expenditures remain a primary focus, with over 1 billion zloty currently tied to active projects, including The Witcher 4, which is in full-scale production, and the pre-production phase of the next Cyberpunk title. To support these concurrent large-scale projects, the studio has expanded its Boston-based team to over 80 members and continues to invest in infrastructure, such as a new performance capture studio in Warsaw.
Operational strategy emphasizes long-term franchise management and internal development efficiency. While the company utilizes AI for productivity enhancements, it maintains that such tools are not a substitute for creative development or a driver for headcount reduction. Looking forward, the company aims to deliver subsequent entries in The Witcher trilogy within a six-year window, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 to streamline development cycles. Despite the ambitious nature of its current share-based incentive program, which requires a cumulative net profit of 2 billion zloty, management remains optimistic about achieving these targets through upcoming content releases and sustained operational growth.
