Capcom
Capcom’s first-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 demonstrate broad-based growth across all business segments, positioning the company favorably to meet its full-year performance targets. The company reported net sales of 45.5 billion yen and an operating profit of 12.8 billion yen for the quarter, representing significant year-on-year increases of 54% and 91%, respectively. This performance was driven by a combination of new title releases and the sustained strength of the company’s extensive catalog of intellectual property.
The Digital Contents segment remains the primary revenue driver, contributing 29.8 billion yen in sales. Growth in this segment was supported by both new game launches and robust digital sales, which accounted for the vast majority of consumer unit volume. Key franchises, including Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter, continue to anchor the company’s catalog strategy, with titles like Street Fighter 6 and Devil May Cry 5 achieving notable cumulative sales milestones. The company is also successfully leveraging cross-media synergies, such as the release of the Devil May Cry anime series, to bolster brand visibility and engagement.
Beyond digital content, the Arcade Operations and Amusement Equipments segments also reported positive momentum. Arcade operations saw revenue growth supported by the opening of new locations and stable management of existing stores. Meanwhile, the Amusement Equipments business experienced a substantial surge in profitability, largely attributed to the release of new machines and strong catalog performance. With a solid financial foundation, including a healthy balance sheet and continued investment in research and development, the company maintains a positive outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year.
