This move aims to broaden the adoption of its anti-toxicity technology across the global gaming landscape.
Ben Goldhaber, the former CEO and co-founder of the esports community app Juked, has joined GGWP to lead the company’s marketing efforts. This appointment coincides with GGWP’s strategic shift to offer its AI-powered game moderation tools for free to all game developers. Goldhaber brings extensive industry experience to the role, having previously spent over seven years at Twitch in various communications and marketing capacities.
GGWP, founded in 2020 by industry veterans Dennis “Thresh” Fong, Kun Gao, and George Ng, operates as an anti-toxicity platform for the gaming industry. The company has secured significant financial backing to support its growth, including a $12 million seed round in March 2022 and a subsequent $10 million funding round led by Samsung Ventures and SK Telecom Ventures. Its current partner roster includes prominent organizations such as Riot Games, Sony, Krafton, and Bitkraft.
The move represents a notable transition for Goldhaber following the closure of Juked in October 2022. By integrating his background in community-focused platforms with GGWP’s mission to mitigate in-game toxicity, the company aims to broaden the adoption of its moderation technology across the global gaming landscape.
