Top 10 VTubers for April 2024

The analysis of the top 10 VTubers for April 2024 highlights a period of transition in the live-streaming landscape as creators shifted away from long-term playthroughs of titles like Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Elden Ring. While the rankings remained dominated by members of the Hololive agency, the industry saw a diversification of content strategies as creators experimented with new games and collaborative events to maintain audience engagement.

Usada Pekora secured the top position with an average minute viewership (AMA) of 38K, driven by a mix of sandbox building games and a successful playthrough of Dragonball Z: Kakarot. Sakura Miko followed in second place with 23K AMA, while Minato Aqua entered the top 10 at third place with 18K AMA, distinguishing herself through consistent, long-form series content. Other notable performers included Kuzuha, the leading male VTuber with 16K AMA, and Kanae, the only top 10 creator primarily streaming on Twitch, who generated 1.3 million hours watched during the month.

The data indicates that while collaborations were a primary driver of viewership, individual dedication to varied content—ranging from retro titles and vocal marathons to specialized servers like VCR Rust—remained essential for maintaining audience retention. The overall trend for April reflected a slight decline in total viewership as the community awaited the emergence of a new headline attraction to replace the recently concluded major game cycles. The findings underscore the ongoing importance of creator agility and the influence of agency-backed talent in the global VTuber market.
