The company's net bookings for the quarter were $1.47 billion.
Take-Two Interactive’s financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025, ending September 30, 2024, demonstrate modest growth and a strategic shift toward prioritizing core intellectual properties. The company reported $1.35 billion in revenue, a 4% year-over-year increase, and net bookings of $1.47 billion. Mobile platforms remained the primary revenue driver, contributing 55% of total earnings, followed by console at 36% and PC at 9%. Recurrent consumer spending, including in-app purchases and DLC, accounted for 81% of total bookings, reflecting a 6% increase compared to the previous year.
A significant development during this period is the divestment of the Private Division label. Management indicated that this decision aligns with a long-term strategy to focus resources on the company’s most successful franchises under the Rockstar and 2K labels. While the financial terms of the sale remain undisclosed, the new owner has acquired rights to the label's live and unreleased titles, effectively removing partner indie projects from Take-Two’s future pipeline.
Performance across key franchises remains robust. NBA 2K25 achieved 4.5 million unit sales, while GTA+ subscriptions grew by 35% year-over-year. Cumulative sales for major titles continue to climb, with Grand Theft Auto V reaching 205 million units and Red Dead Redemption 2 reaching 67 million. Looking ahead, the company maintains its guidance for fiscal year 2025 and anticipates record net bookings for fiscal years 2026 and 2027, supported by a pipeline of 22 immersive core releases, including the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI in the fall of 2025.
