ProGuides Users to Transition to Coachify Under New Deal

Aimlabs, a subsidiary of Statespace, has finalized a partnership with the gaming coaching platform Coachify to facilitate the migration of users and coaches from its ProGuides platform. This transition follows the official closure of ProGuides, which was previously acquired by Statespace in 2021 after raising an estimated $7.4 million in funding. The move marks the end of operations for ProGuides, a service that provided one-on-one training for major competitive titles including Valorant, League of Legends, and Rocket League.

The transition process includes several incentives and administrative measures designed to retain the existing user base. Coaches who opt into the new platform will have their historical reviews and student data transferred, and they will receive a special certification badge acknowledging their previous status on ProGuides. For students, Coachify has committed to honoring remaining ProGuides credits for up to one year, provided they are utilized with coaches holding a Coachify Premium account. Additionally, migrating users are eligible for one month of premium access on the new platform.

Coachify is positioning this integration as a streamlined experience for both parties, emphasizing its recent implementation of direct PayPal integration. This feature allows coaches to manage payments independently, reducing the platform's role in financial transactions and minimizing administrative overhead. By facilitating this migration, the companies aim to preserve the continuity of the coaching ecosystem while transitioning users to a model that emphasizes direct, fee-free financial interactions between students and instructors.
