Sweden-based M.O.B.A. Network AB finalized the acquisition of the French in-game application developer Wargraphs on May 30, 2023. The transaction is valued at $54 million USD, with the payment structure divided into an initial upfront installment and subsequent payouts contingent upon the achievement of specific financial and growth milestones.
Wargraphs, a one-man operation founded by Jean-Nicolas Mastin, gained industry prominence through the development of Porofessor. This application, built on the Overwolf platform, provides data and statistical insights for popular titles including League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra. At the time of the acquisition, the software maintained a significant user base, averaging 800,000 daily active users, with revenue primarily driven by advertising.
Following the deal, M.O.B.A. Network clarified its financial position, reporting that the actual cash reserves of Wargraphs were higher than initially estimated. While early projections suggested a cash position between $2.18 million and $2.73 million USD for the period ending May 31, 2023, the actual figure was confirmed at $3.6 million USD. This acquisition represents a strategic expansion for M.O.B.A. Network within the competitive gaming and data analytics sector, consolidating a highly efficient, single-employee startup into its broader portfolio of gaming-focused digital assets.
