This new agreement designates hummel as Guild's official technical kit partner. It includes branding on team jerseys and exclusive rights for hummel to produce and sell Guild-branded apparel.
Key Agreement. Guild Esports has signed a three-year sponsorship and merchandising deal with sportswear brand hummel.
Guild Esports, a publicly traded organization based in the United Kingdom, has restructured its sponsorship portfolio by securing a new multi-year agreement with sportswear brand hummel while simultaneously terminating its partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp one year ahead of schedule. These strategic shifts reflect the organization's ongoing efforts to manage its commercial revenue streams and brand associations within the competitive gaming sector.
The new three-year partnership with hummel designates the sportswear company as Guild’s official technical kit partner. Under the terms of this deal, hummel will receive prominent branding on team jerseys and gain exclusive rights to produce and retail Guild-branded apparel, including lifestyle items such as hoodies and luggage. The agreement is projected to generate approximately £700,000 ($872,000 USD) in base revenue, with total potential earnings reaching roughly £1 million ($1.24 million USD) when accounting for performance-linked incentives and sales targets.
Concurrently, the mutual decision to end the Bitstamp partnership, which was originally signed in January 2022 for a three-year term, concludes the relationship early. Despite the premature termination, Guild Esports has stated that the move will not negatively impact its projected revenues for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023. The organization continues to focus on its commercial trajectory through these updated brand alignments, maintaining its presence in the UK esports market while transitioning away from its previous crypto-sector sponsorship.
