The New Global Sport Conference, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, serves as a high-level networking and strategic forum for the international gaming and esports sectors. Organized by the Saudi Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Esports Federation, the event aims to facilitate bilateral business meetings and foster partnerships between global industry stakeholders and Saudi government-backed entities, such as the Savvy Games Group and the ESL FACEIT Group.
The conference features a diverse roster of participants, including executives from major organizations like G2 Esports, 100 Thieves, Team Vitality, and Ninjas in Pyjamas, alongside representatives from prominent publishers and developers such as Sony, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, and Sega of America. The agenda focuses on critical industry themes, including the growth of global gaming audiences, the evolution of esports clubs, and the integration of live entertainment with competitive gaming.
By convening policymakers, sports icons, and corporate leaders, the event functions as a platform for establishing future commercial ties within the Saudi market. The conference is strategically scheduled to precede the PIF-backed Future Investment Initiative Institute’s seventh edition, highlighting the significant financial influence of the Saudi sovereign wealth fund in the global gaming landscape. While the organizers have teased a major industry announcement, the primary value of the gathering lies in its role as a catalyst for long-term investment and collaboration between Western gaming companies and Saudi-led initiatives.
