The Hamburg-based developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment marked a significant milestone at Gamescom 2018, celebrating its tenth year of participation in the major European trade fair. Founded in early 2007, the company utilized the 2018 event to highlight its legacy in the graphic adventure genre, which it has actively maintained since the release of its debut title, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, in 2008.
The company’s presence at the 2018 exhibition spanned both professional and public sectors. In the business area, Daedalic maintained a presence at the Gamecity Hamburg joint booth in Hall 3.2, facilitating industry and press engagement. For the public, the developer operated a dedicated merchandise stand in the Hall 5.2 fanshop area and showcased several key titles within the Indie Arena in Hall 10.1.
Featured software at the event included the multiplayer game Witch It, the Switch version of the 3D thriller State of Mind, and the public debut of the Edna & Harvey: The Breakout – 10th Anniversary Edition. This anniversary remake was scheduled for a 2019 release across PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, underscoring the studio's commitment to modernizing its foundational intellectual properties for contemporary platforms.
