ESL FACEIT Group Goes All-In on Acer

The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced a significant expansion of its long-standing partnership with Acer, establishing the PC manufacturer as the exclusive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for its major 2024 esports tournament circuits. This collaboration centers on the integration of Acer’s Predator gaming hardware across EFG’s global Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 ecosystems. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the deal represents a strategic commitment to standardizing high-performance hardware across a wide array of professional competitions.

Throughout 2024, the Predator brand will serve as the primary hardware provider for several high-profile tournament series, including the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) events in China, the United States, and Germany, as well as the ESL Pro League, ESL Challenger, DreamLeague, and ESL One circuits. The partnership encompasses both online and offline tournament environments, ensuring consistent technical infrastructure for professional players.

Beyond hardware provision, the agreement includes a joint marketing initiative designed to showcase Acer’s latest technology to the esports audience. This promotional effort will highlight specific product lines, including the Predator Helios laptop series and the Predator Orion desktop series. By aligning its tournament infrastructure with a single hardware partner, EFG aims to streamline the technical experience for its global events, further solidifying the role of specialized PC manufacturers in the professional gaming landscape. EFG, which operates under the backing of the Saudi-funded Savvy Gaming Group, continues to leverage such partnerships to maintain its position as a leading global tournament organizer.
