81.3% of revenue and 83.9% of capital expenditures were classified as environmentally sustainable.
The CD PROJEKT Group’s 2023 sustainability disclosure marks a pivotal transition toward formal non-financial reporting, aligning the organization with upcoming CSRD and ESRS standards. By adopting a double materiality framework, the company has identified 12 critical ESG priorities, including player protection, cybersecurity, and greenhouse gas reduction. This strategic shift is supported by the establishment of a dedicated ESG Management Group and the integration of five core sustainability ambitions into the broader business model, ensuring that long-term growth in the Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises remains tethered to ethical governance and social responsibility.
Financially and operationally, the Group demonstrated resilience in 2023, reporting 1.23 billion PLN in consolidated revenue and maintaining a global workforce of 1,168 employees. The company achieved significant milestones in environmental stewardship, becoming the first Polish game developer to secure EU EMAS certification. While Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions rose due to a return to office-based work, the Group has committed to a 42% reduction in these emissions by 2030. Furthermore, the organization exhibits high alignment with EU Taxonomy standards, with 81.3% of revenue and 83.9% of capital expenditures classified as environmentally sustainable.
Human capital remains a central pillar of the Group’s strategy, evidenced by a 72% employee engagement score and a low 4.9% churn rate. Through initiatives like the "HR Skill Tree" and formalized Diversity and Inclusion strategies, the company promotes equitable remuneration and professional development. Governance is equally robust, characterized by strict compliance policies, the "SpeakUp!" whistleblowing framework, and a proactive approach to climate-related risks using TCFD guidelines. By prioritizing transparency and stakeholder engagement, the Group maintains a stable foundation for sustainable development within the global gaming industry.
