CD Projekt 2019 Annual Financial Results

CD Projekt's 2019 fiscal year delivered strong growth, with consolidated revenue reaching zł521 million ($124.9 million), a 44 percent increase over 2018. Profit for the period rose 66 percent to zł175 million ($41.9 million). The results were driven largely by continued demand for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, whose performance was boosted by the Netflix television adaptation of the franchise.

The Witcher 3 sold more than 6.5 million copies in 2019, its best annual result since its 2015 launch. Digital sales made up the majority of units, and PC remained the leading platform. The Nintendo Switch version accounted for 11 percent of 2019 sales. Lifetime sales of the title reached roughly 28 million copies, while the entire Witcher series totaled around 40 million.

On operations, the studio reported employing more than 1,000 people, all of whom had adapted to remote work during the early pandemic period. The company said this kept Cyberpunk 2077 on track for a September 2020 release.

A later item appended to the page covers a separate analyst forecast from Polish brokerage DM BOŚ for the Songs of the Past expansion to The Witcher 3. The analysts project more than 700 million PLN (about $187.9 million) in first-year revenue and 11.4 million copies sold, compared with the company's total revenue of 866.9 million PLN ($234.8 million) in the previous year. They expect a release by the end of Q1 2027, although the studio has only confirmed a 2027 window. The Witcher 3 had approached 10 million copies by the end of 2015 and reached 65 million by May 2026.
