Capcom’s consolidated financial results for the nine-month period ending December 31, 2023, demonstrate significant growth across all primary business segments. The company achieved net sales of 106,179 million yen, representing a 33.3% increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. Profitability metrics also showed substantial gains, with operating income rising 43.1% to 47,704 million yen, ordinary income increasing 47.4% to 49,460 million yen, and net income attributable to owners of the parent growing 46.7% to 34,636 million yen.
The Digital Contents business served as the primary driver of this performance, bolstered by the successful launch of Street Fighter 6 and strong catalog sales, which reached 26.7 million units. The segment generated 81,436 million yen in net sales, a 33.0% year-over-year increase. Additionally, the Arcade Operations and Amusement Equipments segments reported robust growth, with the latter experiencing a 116.8% surge in net sales due to the introduction of new smart pachislo machines and sustained demand for existing titles. These results reflect the company’s strategic focus on global digital expansion, intellectual property development, and human resources investment.
The financial position remains stable, with total assets reaching 222,925 million yen and a shareholders' equity ratio of 82.4%. The company continues to prioritize long-term growth through investments in development technologies and 3D CG production capabilities. Despite the positive performance, the full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, remains unchanged from the initial projections provided in May 2023, targeting net sales of 140,000 million yen and operating income of 56,000 million yen. The results were prepared in accordance with Japan GAAP and reflect the company's ongoing efforts to enhance brand value through diversified media and esports initiatives.
