Tournament operator BLAST has entered into a strategic partnership with Nova Wallet, a mobile cryptocurrency wallet developed by Novasama Technologies. The collaboration designates Nova Wallet as the official self-custodial wallet partner for five Counter-Strike 2 esports events scheduled throughout 2025. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the partnership aims to integrate the Nova Wallet brand across BLAST’s physical event venues, social media channels, and official tournament broadcasts.
The partnership kicks off at the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June, which features a $1.25 million prize pool and 32 competing teams. Beyond the Austin event, the collaboration extends to four additional BLAST Premier tournaments: Rivals S1, Bounty S2, Open S2, and Rivals S2. As part of the engagement, Nova Wallet is introducing a free-to-play mini-game titled "Nova Wallet x Hydration" to drive fan interaction and promote the Polkadot-based web3 ecosystem to the BLAST community.
This initiative highlights a continued effort to bridge the gap between competitive gaming and blockchain technology. Nova Wallet, which is funded by the Polkadot Treasury, currently supports over 100 networks and 200 assets. By leveraging the reach of high-profile Counter-Strike 2 tournaments, the partnership seeks to increase brand visibility and user adoption for Nova Wallet’s platform among a global audience of esports enthusiasts.
