The title generated over $350 million in gross revenue and sold more than 6.5 million copies. These figures exclude data from the Epic Games Store and the EA App.
Alinea Analytics provides a comprehensive performance assessment of the launch of Battlefield 6, characterizing the title as one of the most successful releases within the current generation of shooters. As of October 2025, the game has achieved significant commercial traction, generating over $350 million in gross revenue and surpassing 6.5 million units sold. These figures are particularly notable given that they exclude data from the Epic Games Store and the EA App, suggesting the actual financial impact may be higher.
The distribution of sales across platforms highlights a strong preference for PC gaming, with 56.7% of units sold on Steam, followed by 23.7% on PlayStation and 19.6% on Xbox. Steam alone accounted for approximately $220 million of the total revenue. Geographically, the United States serves as the primary market for the title, representing one-third of Steam sales and 38% of PlayStation sales, while China follows as the second-largest market on Steam with a 13% share.
Beyond raw sales data, the analysis indicates high player retention, noting an unusually steady daily active user curve for the genre. The player base exhibits significant overlap with other major titles, as 61% of Steam users who purchased Battlefield 6 have also played Call of Duty: Warzone. Other popular titles frequently found in the libraries of these players include Battlefield 2042, Helldivers 2, The Finals, and Marvel Rivals. While official figures from Battlefield Studios remain pending, these findings underscore a robust market entry that positions the game as a major competitor in the current shooter landscape.
