Bandai Namco
Bandai Namco Group concluded the fiscal year ending March 2025 with record-high financial performance, reporting net sales of 1,241.5 billion yen and an operating profit of 180.2 billion yen. These results reflect the successful execution of the company’s previous mid-term plan, which focused on strengthening its earnings foundation across its diverse business segments. The company’s primary objective remains the global expansion of its intellectual property (IP) portfolio through integrated entertainment offerings, ranging from digital games and toys to amusement facilities and visual production.
Key performance drivers included the Digital Business, which benefited from strong sales of home console titles such as Elden Ring and Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, alongside consistent performance in network content. The Toys and Hobby segment achieved significant growth through strategic initiatives targeting mature fan bases and the global expansion of trading card games. Additionally, the IP Production and Amusement units contributed positively, bolstered by successful theatrical releases and the continued popularity of activity-based, group-linked retail stores.
Looking ahead to the fiscal year ending March 2026, the company projects a slight contraction in total net sales to 1,200 billion yen and an operating profit of 145 billion yen, largely due to shifts in the digital title release schedule. Despite this, the company is prioritizing long-term growth through strategic investments in technology, including blockchain and generative AI, and partnerships with entities like Sony and Gaudiy. Shareholder returns remain a central pillar of corporate strategy, evidenced by a new policy targeting a total return ratio of 50% or higher and a minimum dividend on equity (DOE) of 3.60%. The company continues to emphasize global IP development, production capacity expansion, and the cultivation of next-generation creators to sustain its competitive position in the international entertainment market.
