Aiming
Aiming outperformed its financial projections for the first half of the 2025 fiscal year, covering the period from January 1 to June 30, 2025. The company reported consolidated net sales of 8,989 million yen, exceeding its initial forecast of 8,767 million yen by 2.5 percent. Profitability metrics showed even more significant growth, with operating profit reaching 1,843 million yen, a 25.5 percent increase over the projected 1,469 million yen. Ordinary profit and net income attributable to owners of the parent company also surpassed expectations by 95.8 percent and 95.4 percent, respectively, marking a substantial recovery compared to the losses recorded during the same period in the previous fiscal year.
The primary drivers for this positive variance include strong performance across existing online game distribution services and higher-than-anticipated demand for production and operational outsourcing contracts. On the expenditure side, the company successfully optimized costs by curbing outsourcing fees and platform commissions, which bolstered operating margins.
Additional financial gains were realized through non-operating income, specifically dividends received from investments in anime production committees and the receipt of corporate attraction subsidies for the company’s Kumamoto office. These combined factors resulted in a net income of 827 million yen for the period, significantly outperforming the initial forecast of 423 million yen. This performance reflects a robust improvement in operational efficiency and diversified revenue streams within the Japanese gaming and digital entertainment sector.
