Aiming
Aiming’s financial performance for the first half of the 2026 fiscal year, covering the period from January 1 to June 30, significantly outperformed the initial projections released in April 2026. The company reported consolidated net sales of 6,871 million yen, representing a 1.9 percent increase over the forecasted 6,745 million yen. Profitability metrics showed even more substantial growth, with operating profit reaching 529 million yen, a 61.5 percent increase over the initial estimate of 327 million yen. Ordinary profit and net income attributable to owners of the parent also exceeded expectations by 127.4 percent and 250.5 percent, respectively.
The primary driver for the revenue surplus was the successful launch of the online game title Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road on June 9, 2026, which performed better than anticipated and helped offset sluggish results in other segments of the company’s online game portfolio. On the cost side, the company achieved higher-than-expected margins due to effective reductions in outsourcing expenses. These operational efficiencies, combined with the strong reception of the new title, resulted in a net income of 383 million yen for the period, compared to the original forecast of 109 million yen.
Despite these positive variances against the 2026 projections, the results reflect a contraction when compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. In the first half of 2025, the company recorded higher net sales of 8,989 million yen and an operating profit of 1,843 million yen. The current data confirms that while the company successfully surpassed its internal mid-year targets through strategic cost management and new product performance, it remains in a period of year-over-year adjustment within the Japanese gaming market.
