Aiming
Aiming’s financial performance for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2025 demonstrates a significant improvement in profitability compared to initial projections. While consolidated net sales remained exactly in line with the forecast at 12,639 million yen, the company achieved substantial growth in all profit categories. Operating profit reached 2,098 million yen, exceeding expectations by 14.4 percent, while ordinary profit rose to 1,486 million yen, a 33.2 percent increase over the forecast. Quarterly net profit attributable to owners of the parent company climbed to 1,174 million yen, representing a 41.8 percent variance from the original estimate.
The divergence between projected and actual results is attributed to a strategic shift in operational efficiency and revenue composition. Although the online game distribution service faced challenges, these were offset by stronger-than-anticipated performance in the production and operations outsourcing segment. The bottom-line growth was further bolstered by rigorous cost management, specifically the reduction of outsourcing expenses and lower platform fees resulting from the implementation of external payment systems. Additionally, dividend income derived from investments in animation projects contributed positively to the overall financial outcome.
This performance marks a notable turnaround from the same period in the previous fiscal year, during which the company recorded losses across all profit metrics. By successfully maintaining top-line revenue while optimizing internal cost structures and diversifying income streams, the company has transitioned into a more profitable position than anticipated at the start of the third quarter. These results reflect a disciplined approach to operational management within the Japanese gaming market, effectively insulating the company from the volatility of its core distribution services.
