Saber's Newest Game Trailer Takes a Shot at Gearbox's Boss

The recent debut trailer for Saber Interactive’s upcoming title, Rideshare Stimulator, contains a deliberate, subtle jab at Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford.

• Saber Interactive included a 'USB DRV' license plate reference in its 'Rideshare Stimulator' trailer as a direct jab at Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford, citing perceived slights against Saber's parent company in 'Borderlands 4'.
• Saber CEO Matt Karch confirmed the reference was intentional retaliation, stating that Gearbox's success is heavily dependent on the Embracer Group's historical support.
• Take-Two Interactive acquired Gearbox from the Embracer Group in a 2024 all-stock deal, while Saber Interactive was simultaneously sold to an investment group controlled by Matt Karch.
