NODWIN Gaming, an India-based esports organization owned by Nazara Technologies, has acquired the Ukraine-based tournament organizer StarLadder. The transaction is valued at an initial consideration of $5.5 million USD, with additional payments contingent upon the achievement of specific earn-out targets. Following the acquisition, StarLadder founder Roman Romantsov will continue to lead the company’s operations alongside the existing staff.
This acquisition represents a significant expansion of NODWIN Gaming’s international footprint. The company has recently pursued an aggressive growth strategy, acquiring various entities including Freaks 4U Gaming, Ninja Global, Branded, and Trinity Gaming. By integrating StarLadder, NODWIN Gaming aims to leverage new creative and distribution channels while gaining access to broader global markets.
Founded in 2011, StarLadder has established a long-standing reputation for organizing high-profile international tournaments for titles such as Counter-Strike, Dota 2, and PUBG. In recent years, the company also collaborated with Tencent to manage social media channels for PUBG Mobile esports in the MENA region. Prior to this deal, StarLadder remained one of the few independent international tournament organizers operating without government-backed investment. The merger is expected to provide StarLadder with the necessary resources to continue delivering large-scale competitive gaming experiences across multiple regions.
