The transaction is valued at approximately INR ₹76 million (roughly $893,000 USD). This makes AFK Gaming a wholly owned subsidiary of NODWIN Gaming.
NODWIN Gaming, an India-based esports and gaming company, has finalized the acquisition of AFK Gaming, a prominent Indian esports media platform. The transaction, valued at approximately INR ₹76 million (roughly $893,000 USD), involves a combination of cash and stock. By acquiring the remaining 93% stake, NODWIN Gaming transitions AFK Gaming into a wholly owned subsidiary, building upon a strategic investment relationship that began in 2017.
The acquisition integrates AFK Gaming’s founders—Nishant Patel, Rakesh Ramchandran, and Siddharth Nayyar—into the NODWIN leadership structure. As part of the transition, the founders will become shareholders of NODWIN Gaming and assume specific operational roles: Patel will focus on strategic initiatives and the growth of the Pixel P&L media product, Ramchandran will lead the development of technology-driven products, and Nayyar will continue to manage the media agency Max Level.
This move consolidates a decade-long partnership between the two entities within the Indian esports market. AFK Gaming, which has operated since 2012, provides news coverage, marketing services for brands and tournament organizers, and curated business newsletters. Following the acquisition, the AFK Gaming website will function as a centralized hub for its various media and agency products. The deal remains subject to standard regulatory approvals.
