The inaugural event is scheduled for November 2025.
KRAFTON has announced a strategic expansion of its esports ecosystem, headlined by the launch of PUBG UNITED 2025. This new initiative aims to unify the competitive properties of PUBG and PUBG Mobile under a single brand, with the inaugural event scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, in November 2025. This consolidation reflects the publisher's intent to streamline its global esports presence across its flagship battle royale titles.
In addition to the global unification, KRAFTON detailed specific developments for the Indian market, centered on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The BGMI International Cup 2025, a LAN competition slated for October 31 to November 2, will feature top-tier teams from India, South Korea, and Japan. The event offers a prize pool of approximately $114,000 USD (₹1 Crore) and provides the winner with a direct invitation to the Global Championship. Indian participants will qualify for this international event through the BGMI Showdown, which begins in Hyderabad on September 18.
Beyond professional-level competition, the publisher is continuing its commitment to grassroots development through the BGMI Campus Tour 2025–2026. This series focuses on collegiate and city-level engagement across India, building upon the foundation of a 2024 inaugural series that hosted 64 collegiate tournaments. These announcements underscore KRAFTON’s ongoing efforts to maintain a robust competitive infrastructure for its titles, particularly within the unique regulatory and cultural landscape of the Indian gaming market.
