The dissolution is effective following the conclusion of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. Both entities will return to independent operations.
Metaverse company Infinite Reality and the Barcelona-based esports organization KOI have announced an amicable separation, concluding a strategic partnership established one year prior. The dissolution, effective following the conclusion of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, marks a return to independent operations for the respective entities and their associated competitive rosters. Financial terms regarding the separation remain undisclosed.
Under the terms of the split, Infinite Reality’s subsidiary, ReKTGlobal, will assume full ownership of its primary esports assets. This portfolio includes the Carolina Royal Ravens (formerly the London Royal Ravens) in the Call of Duty League, as well as teams competing in Rocket League, Rainbow Six: Siege, and the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC).
Conversely, KOI will take full control of its own competitive operations, which include teams in the League of Legends LVP Superliga, FIFAe, and the Valorant Champions Tour EMEA League, the latter of which remains subject to final approval from Riot Games. While the partnership previously involved the rebranding of the organization Rogue under the KOI banner, the separation raises the possibility of a return to original branding, though no official confirmation has been provided. This realignment reflects a broader shift in the organizational structure of these entities as they move to consolidate control over their respective professional gaming assets.
